The Water Crisis

Every dollar raised through the Kili Climb will help bring fresh, clean water to hundreds of thousands of people on the continent of Africa who are without it. As a matter of fact, in Africa right now, about 5,000 children die every day simply because they don’t have clean water to drink and bathe in.

African women and children spend up to eight hours per day walking to haul water from mainly polluted sources. The water is used to cook with, bathe in and worst of all… drink. If you’re looking for a way to touch thousands of lives and know you’re making a true difference, please join us, either by making the climb or supporting a climber!

WorldServe International is going beyond hope and helping to meet the needs of those who haven’t dared to hope, by providing clean water. This will reduce the number of deaths due to water borne diseases and ease the everyday burden on women and children in rural communities.

Did you know most African families exist on just 5 gallons of water daily? Americans individually use about 175 gallons of water per day. Even beyond saving lives, we have discovered firsthand that clean water is the first step in community development. There can be no quality of life without clean water – no jobs, no schools, no food, nothing happens without water!

What’s to think about? Join the climb of a lifetime! You’ll be glad you did!
