Why We Are Here

Today the team took the two and half hour ride from our hotel in the town of Arusha to the Masai village of Loibersoit to dedicate a well and see another one drilled.

About halfway to our destination we left the pavement and rode the rest of the way on exceedingly bumpy dirt roads which had been carved through the African bush.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the dancing and singing of Loibersoit’s residents in their traditional dress. Some of our team members were honored as tribal elders, which included the gifting of a cow to Pastor John Lindell. The day was a truly awesome experience as we not only saw the joyful celebration the gift of clean water brings but also saw a new well being drilled. Once again we were each struck with the significance of our journey, amazed that we were able to each play a part.
